Basik bar on graham ave

Graham Avenue bar Bā’sik quietly closed last month after 13 years.

The bar and restaurant closed on August 12th.

When Basik first opened in November of 2011, the menu benefitted from Chef Ryan Jordan’s consulting. He had previously worked at the Breslin and since gone onto the Ace Hotel.

Eater reported the main reason was higher rent on a lease renewal and small post-pandemic crowds.

Since the bar opened in 2011, a number of new buildings, bars, and restaurants opened along Graham Avenue, making it more of a destination. Formerly at 323 Graham Avenue, it was a block from the L train.

UPDATED: The bar appears to have reopened with new hours.
