A new corner store has opened at at the intersection of Montrose and Humboldt following the abrupt closure of the last deli.

187 Montrose Avenue hasn’t had much luck when it comes to supporting bodegas ever since the gourmet Azure Deli closed up during the pandemic. There’s been a new shop seemingly each year with the most recent iteration disappearing this spring.

The newest shop plans 24/7 service, another essential service that has been touch-and-go in the neighborhood in recent years. There’s also a flower shop now attached to the side of the building along Humboldt Street.

The new spot has a deli, sandwiches, a juice bar, and essentials. Hopefully it lasts longer than its predecessors.
