The corner store location at 187 Montrose Avenue once again has a new deli with fewer grocery items than past iterations.

For years, the location had been home to the Azure, a high-end luxury bodega and 24/7 organic grocery store. The tiny shop had just about everything in stock, even if it was only one or two items. But the pandemic shut the place down, and since then the corner store has seen high turnover.

Go! Organic had lasted only about a year after Azure left. Another shop opened and closed without much notice.

The new Delicious and Fresh Deli appears to have invested some time and effort into rearranging the storefront. It’s cleaner inside and has fewer grocery items — and less shelves too. But they were open late on a recent Saturday night.
