The Whole Foods Daily Shop set to open this week is delayed until at least the New Year, according to a missive from the comms team.

Signs on the building and a press release from Whole Foods announcing the opening promised the shop would open December 11th. Empty shelves seem to indicate anyone hoping Ebenezer would be sending them the prize turkey hanging in the window will have to wait until next year.

The ground floor, corner unit of the newish building at 774 Grand Street has been vacant since it opened in 2014. After an extensive build out replacing the never-opened hair salon school, shelving was installed last month.

The photos show a big investment in self-checkout machines, which really seems unfortunate.
