Warehouse fire on the Williamsburg waterfront has destroyed a building, but opens up the possibility of finally development a new park.
The 7-alarm fire consumed the warehouse over a 10-hour burn.
The land is part of a Bloomberg-era rezoning that would turn the land into a park rather than allow new development. The fire could lead to the city finally making good on the long-promised park, but likely not without a fight from the landowner.
