After months of delays, the new Grand Street location is set to open Wednesday, August 26.

Occupying the ground floor retail of 575 Grand Street, the opening of the store will mark the return of a grocery store to the location. A one-story Key Foods and surface parking lot had been on the lot until December of 2021.

The Lidl US press release promises fresh croissants and coffee at the 7:40 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony. The regular hours of the store are set for 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily.

The European retailer promises to import many products, including the croissants baked fresh in the store all day — we can only hope they transit customs while frozen.

The company also market tests products live in store as part of the Special Guest bakery program. The new location will feature Toffee Pecan Cookie, Brookie, Blueberry Scone and Brownie Pop.
