DeStefano’s Steakhouse relocated to 593 Lorimer Street.
The old-school steakhouse had been serving at customers at 89 Conselyea Street at the corner of Leonard since 2007. That location was in the owner’s family for three generations, since 1919 when Italian immigrants bought the building.
The founders, father and son Joe and John Donatelli opened with only the experience selling zeppole at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel feast, according to A 2017 review in Food & Wine.
The new location has been vacant since the closing of Brooklyn Star. That restaurant closed in 2018.
