Criff Dogs williamsburg outpost closed and has been replaced by a bodega

The Williamsburg outpost of Crif Dogs, the fancy hot dog stand, has been replaced by a new bodega.

Grab & Go features a variety of snacks including imported foods from Japan and Europe. There is a wide variety cookies, especially expensive brands cookies like Tate’s, Nutella, and keto diet friendly snacks.

The bodega also has essentials like coffee filters, but is primarily focused on snacking.

Crif Dogs opened at 555 Driggs Avenue all the way back in 2011. After a decade at the location, the upscale hot dog stand shuttered although there are locations still in the East Village and Long Island City.

The location endured major disruptions from the L train construction as new entrances to the Bedford Avenue station blocked off portions of the sidewalk and created visual barriers between the stores and the street.

Crif Dogs was one of the few locations in the city to sell Taylor Ham, a New Jersey delicacy, on their Jersey Dog. That hot dog is no longer available according to the menu. The Bagelsmith on at 566 Lorimer Street is another location.
