Construction Begins on Marcy Green Park Redevelopment

Construction begins at Marcy Green, a park loverlooking the BQE in Williamsburg

The narrow strip of land between Marcy Avenue and the BQE is getting a facelift.

The Parks Department is renovation three sections of the park between South 3rd and South 5th.

The renovated park will include aa dog run at South 5th, new walkways and seating.

New amenities like a splash pad and ping pong table are promised.

The renovations will cost more than $5m dollars. So far Eric Adams has failed to deliver on his promise of 1% of the city budget going towards parks.

Much of the renovation involves adding new curbs and pathways.

So far the construction crews seem to be protecting the existing trees.
