A new bistro is coming to East Williamsburg.

There’s not much on the cafe’s instagram other than a “coming soon” in the bio, along with the suggestion the restaurant will be a French bistro.

Renovation began back in 2022 on the store front. Here the old storefront could be seen in November of 2022.

The state liquor authority has an application pending from November for a “La Bamaba Restaurant Sports Bar,” the name lightly visible on the paneling. It’s unclear if this is the current iteration of the space, or a recent plan that fell through.

The exterior renovations appear to be be completed with a new sign and lighting installed.

The building dates to 1920.
