Burger joint Blue Collar is coming to Manhattan Avenue.

Blue Collar opened on Havemeyer Street back in 2012. The simple, straight forward fast-food menu and the fact that it opened next door to Lake Trout, shop featuring aa “working-class” Baltimore dish was seen as a rejection of twee hipster gentrification happening in the neighborhood. Eleven years on, Lake Trout is closed, Williamsburg looks more like SoHo, and Blue Collar is set to open its fourth location.

The basic menu of burgers, fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, and milk shakes is a quaint throwback, but the food is cooked well and full of flavor. It’s what everyone wants larger fast food chains to achieve, but never does.

The store is coming to 704 Manhattan Avenue.
