Cocktails, Small Plates Coming to Little Grand

A new cocktail bar is coming to a tiny space on the corner of Grand and Humboldt.
Back in August we noticed renovations were taking place at 771 Grand Street.
Little Grand, as the bar will be called, will host natural wines, small plates, and cocktails.
The interior has been fully renovated since it’s last use as a restaurant, Masha and the Bear, which served up Russian-inspired cuisine. V
intage-looking mirrors are installed behind a newly installed wooden bar. Much of the interior was still covered in protective cardboard when we peaked in today.
The storefront has been reconfigured to have a side entrance on Humboldt, keeping the full front facade as windows, presumably where tables can be placed without the constant disturbance of patrons coming and going. Masha and the Bear had never really solved this problem of the flow of patrons in and out of the restaurant and this is likely an improvement.
There’s no word on when the place will be opening. There’s clearly still work to be done on the interior. We have to ask: will they be in by Christmas?
